Performs sleep studies according to established policy and procedure. Performs sleep studies as per order of physicians. Scores sleep stages, sleep apnea, hypopnea, nocturnal myoclonus and recognizes certain EEG and EKG abnormalities and artifacts. Applies and adjusts CPAP according to procedure manual. Responds appropriately to medical emergencies that may arise during sleep studies. Education: Registered polysomnographer, or a NH licensed respiratory care practitioner required. Licensure/Certification: Have passed BRPT registry exam by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, CRT or RRT. CPR certified.
Minimum of one-year sleep lab experience preferred. Formal training in Sleep Disorder testing preferred. Educational requirements contained in this field supercede any educational requirements contained elsewhere in this job posting.
