Sr. Manufacturing Engineer – multi spindle screw machine, CNC turning, high volume

Located in Tennessee a long time manufacturer of fittings and multiple spindle screw machine components is searching for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with direct experience processing Acme screw machines and CNC lathe components. Experience cost estimating, designing cutting tools, layouts, calculating cycletimes, selecting CAMS, gears and attachments for the screw machines and process development of CNC lathe / swiss CNC lathes is a must. Interested candidates must have direct high volume screw machine processing experience. The Manufacturing Engineer will need project management and experience coordinating new product launches. Past experience leading cross functional teams, developing and improving engineering systems, as well as, leading Lean manufacturing events is a huge plus. We are searching for solid leadership skills and promotable candidates. The right candidate will have a promotional possibility to move up to the Engineering Manager position. A couple of key employees are close to retirement. The ideal candidate will have a four year technical degree and advanced education in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5-S techniques. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will work as the liaison between engineering, materials, purchasing, quality and production to ensure new products meet pricing, cost, efficiency and delivery goals. Strong problem solving skills developing corrective actions using advanced problem solving and six sigma techniques is required.

MUST HAVE: 7 years of developing multiple screw machine processes including cost estimates, tooling design, process layouts, cam, gear and attachment selection. Experience on Acme screw machines is a huge plus. Experience programming and processing production cnc lathes is preferred. Candidates will need a minimum of an Associates degree in Engineering.
