WellPoint's Health Insurance Professional Program (HIPP) is our leader development pipeline that leverages emerging MBA talent to create and lead current and future strategic business initiatives through an accelerated exposure to the health insurance industry. As a HIPP Associate, you manage project plans and pose solutions to issues that provide hands-on, cross-functional business exposure in three key areas that focus on: how we make money; how we develop and manage our services and costs; and our customer experience.

HIPP is a 3-year leadership development program accelerating professional growth through a unique combination of rotational assignments, mentoring and extensive training in business, technical and leadership competencies for recent MBA graduates. You will experience the health insurance industry through an accelerated leadership development program that offers three 1-year rotations in a number of our strategic business units which may include assignments in areas such as: Product Standardization & Simplification, Planning & PMO, Business Development, Service Operations Management & Integration, Analytics and Information Technology, Provider Engagement & Contracting, and Sales and Support. Responsible for developing and managing project plans and posing possible solutions to issues within our business and industry. You will receive professional and leadership training, exposure to key strategic areas of our business, and networking opportunities with successful business leaders throughout the duration of the program.

Skills:
Requires an MBA/MHA and 3 plus years of related business experience in medical/health administration, insurance, business administration, finance, accounting or marketing, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Possess leadership experience, abilities and current or prior accountability, as demonstrated in professional and academic environments. Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, computer, analytical and problem-solving skills required. Ability to travel is required. Multiple geographical moves may be required during the 3 year rotational program.
