PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:
The Spanish-language New Media Coordinator is responsible for online Latino community and grassroots outreach efforts, new media project management and Spanish-language online content implementation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Create and implement innovative online content. Types of content include: health and advocacy text, surveys, responses to user questions, blog posts, and functionality requests
* Participate in active brainstorming around interactive tools, video content, audio scripts and images.
* Work with the New Media team to implement a plan for consistent and concerted online Latino community mobilization, outreach, fundraising and membership development
* Manage timely presentation and completion of engagement deliverables, including after-project reviews and regular status updates
* Adapt offline advocacy and fundraising materials for online communications
* Analyze and deliver web metrics
* Provide general administrative support to Director as needed, including editing and drafting memos and correspondence; handle requests for work space, nameplates, phone extensions, computer log-in, passwords, for new staff members/interns
* KNOWLEDGE:
Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills in Spanish and English
* Functional understanding of Internet technology and communication
* Experience with Spanish-language blogs, social networking sites, and web content
* Ability in project management
* Understanding of online campaigns, especially grassroots organizing
* Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities at both the strategic and functional levels
* Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and dynamic environment
* Must thrive on change, innovation, and teamwork
* Familiarity with content management systems and HTML a plus
* Passion for reproductive and sexual health
* Positive energy and attitude

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 3 years experience
Language:
Native Spanish speaker, proficiency in English
