Job Description:
* Complete cost and operational responsibility for all functions within manufacturing facility that includes: Metal fabrication, assembly, test, production planning, Production Expediting material planning & control, Value Engineering, office services and EHS in Quincy, IL.
* Site management (Executive) responsibilities for Quincy, IL facility that also includes finance, customer service, order administration, quality assurance, sustaining engineering and product/sales support.
* Create a world class manufacturing operation with people, technology and supply chain fully aligned behind challenging business objectives.
* Develop and guide strategies that provide continuous improvement lean cost, high employee involvement and best practice.
* Key objectives are improved efficiency, throughput, quality, customer service, and development of people, on-time shipment to meet revenue plans while reducing product cost, inventory, lead times and overhead expenses.
* Establish effective interactions and cross functional teams with global Product Management, R&D, Sales and Quality to ensure quality, delivery and logistics operations are aligned to provide total customer satisfaction.
* Establish effective interactions and cross functional teams with global Contract Manufacturing (CM) for pilot build and production set up in region (China, Brazil and Eastern Block).
* Implement systems and processes to maximize plant capacity, deployment of capital equipment, and utilization/efficiency rates.
* Monitor performance to annual business plan and budget and evaluate causes of variation, taking actions necessary and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Maintain a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance & occupational health and promote ownership throughout the facility.

Qualifications:
* Bachelors in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
* 10 years experience managing a complex, full-scale, small batch manufacturing facility for high tech products, including 5 years in a senior management role.
* 5 years experience in transforming towards a lean one piece part flow, supply chain management, including outsourcing experience.
* Manufacturing executive with an outstanding grasp of modern operations methodologies to include fabrication, assembly, test, quality and material planning & control.


Preferred Additional Skills:
* MBA with focus in Operations Management.
* Ability to implement latest production techniques and programs such as MRP and lean manufacturing.
* Strategic thinker.
* Thrives in an environment that is undergoing organization change and demonstrates organization agility.
* Manages team member through delegation, influence and coaching.
* Strong consensus building skills and a proven ability to create and manage diverse, high performance teams.
