The Dedicated Business Development Director will specifically sell dedicated contract carriage. The company is searching for the top sales director who has added 100 new working units of dedicated contract carriage per year (at least $10 million in new add sales/yr). Minimum requirements include having converted private fleets to 3rd party dedicated contract carriage. Additional requirements include:
-- 4 yr undergrad degree and 5-7 yrs proven sales experience
-- Strong customer relationship skills with a specific ability to sell to C level decision makers
-- Sales force automation tools experience
-- Effective selling techniques in person, via phone and through electronic communication
-- Strong organizational skills
No relocation. The successful candidate will have developed a book of business in the local area and have strong geographical knowledge of the competition, local economic trends, shippers/receivers, etc.
