Job description :
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the following: Financial Reporting: responsible for managing the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate presentation of financial results. This includes managing the distribution of all internal and external financial reports. Cost Accounting: responsible for timely and accurate analysis of all distribution operations, including standard costs, inventory valuation, operating improvements and budget variances. Financial Analysis: develop process to provide timely analysis and corrective actions to key managers with the objective of maintaining low cost operations. Budgeting/Forecasting: responsible for all financial analysis (P&L, B/Sheet, Cash Flow) and recommending corrective actions to improve profitability and cash flow.Additional Key Responsibilities: Manage accounting and financial reporting; ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC, IRS and other regulatory authorities requirements Ensure the proper team, systems and infrastructure is created to support their multi-channel distribution (retail, wholesale, e-commerce and hospitality) Work across all functions within the company to build understanding of the financial drivers and create financial systems and infrastructure to transform the business Drive the monthly financial, inventory, replenishment and merchandise planning and forecasting process Develop processes to ensure financial goals are met, lead the planning, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning and cash management areas Keep CEO/CFO, financial sponsors and head office informed regarding business performance, status of key initiatives, and financial results on a regular basis Interpret and forecast the numbers Lead, mentor and develop the existing staff and continue to build a world-class team. Assess current organizational structure and develop staffing plans to support business demands. Serve as a coach and mentor to high potential employee

Who we are looking for :
The ideal candidate for the Controller position will possess the following qualifications and experience: Bachelors Degree with at least 3 years experience in a Controller (w/in smaller co.) or Assist. Controller position (w/in larger co.). At least 1 to 2 years of Retail/Apparel accounting experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as problem solving and troubleshooting abilities. Experience with factoring receivables. Experience in working in with a multi-corporation set-up. At least 2 years of management and training experience in A/P, A/R, Billing and Staff Accountant functions. Must be proficient in MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Outlook; experience with Great Plains is plus!Additional experience: Excellent spreadsheet skills (Excel) to take part in structuring updating and maintaining financial reporting package. Maintain focus on achieving Company objectives. Responsible for general support of all aspects of the annualbudgeting and quarterly forecasting process Work with all functional departments to gather reliable informationand present results in a flexible model that allows easy and quick changes
