One of the world’s leaders in Consumer Products is searching for a Category Development Manager.

The individual in this position will be based in Minneapolis, MN.

Position:
•Responsible for driving category leadership role at key retailers
•Provides analytical expertise, and project leadership
•Provides support and insight to Sales and Marketing Functions
•Understanding of current trends and competition to help identify future opportunities
•This position will be a team lead for Minneapolis
•Must have high energy and leadership qualities.
•10% Travel

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree/MBA Preferred
•Must have Manufacturing and Retail experience
•Must possess strong technical and sophisticated analytical and reporting skills
•Advanced Microsoft Office Suite ability with database reporting skills
•IRI, ACNielson or NPD experience , also experience analyzing and applying consumer research
•Space Management software knowledge (ProSpace/Intercept, Apollo or Spacemen)
•5 plus years experience in consumer packaged goods company
•Willingness to possibly move into a direct sales position in the future
•Deep understanding of retail industry trends and movements
•Independent worker who can also be a team player
