SCA5/ SMT Lead Position:Develop subcontract documents, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment and services. Prepare RFQ/ RFP, analyzes and evaluate supplier proposals, negotiates prices and subcontract provisions, write awards, and administers resulting subcontracts. Additional responsibilities include negotiating and coordinating additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Successful applicant will have knowledge of FAR/ DFAR regulations and ITAR as required, have worked in an IPT/ SMT environment, have previous subcontract background (preferably on Government and Development cost plus program subcontracts), and the ability to work with multi-functional teams. Candidate will be required to review/ understand the Prime Contract Terms and Conditions and flow down to Supplier as applicable. Develop solutions to complex problems that require regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization procedures and objectives. The candidate will also be required to be a Supplier Management Team (SMT) Lead, supporting the Sensor IPT Manager. Responsibilities include managing the supplier contracts to develop and integrate these sensor systems into the BAMS architecture. Individual will supply the contractual oversight of development and qualification of communications systems and components by first tier suppliers using multi-disciplined teams.

Job requires hands-on management skills associated with leading a multi-disciplined SMT. Candidates will show prior exposure and knowledge of: Risk management pertaining to subcontract proposal activities; achievement of program subcontract and budget objectives; negotiation, placement and management of program subcontract requirements to meet program objectives; resolution of Global Supply Chain/Supplier issues.

Preferred Qualifications: Additional capabilities that the preferred candidate will have include: familiarity with technical understanding of military aircraft systems including, performance at the program level, supplier interface; developing and participating in program level supplier/supply chain strategies and plans, ensuring timely development, placement and receipt of material in support of program requirements. Experience with managing programs with weekly Earned Value Management System. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Preferred Experience: Lead Subcontract management Teams (SMTs) composed of Subcontracts Administrators, Supplier Quality and Technical personnel. Working knowledge of SAP desired, Cost Type Contracts and EVMS principals and applications are required. Secret Security Clearance required.Basic Qualifications: BA/BS with 15 years relevant experience. Good communication skills, both written and oral, are required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Supply Chain Management. Security Clearance Required.
