Click Here to Apply OnlinePOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Directs and oversees SEC compliance efforts with the preparation, review, submission and distribution of financial reports, such as 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K.
* Responsibilities include but are not limited to financial statements, supporting schedules, and the Annual Report.
* Drives timely preparation and review of monthly and quarterly balance sheet statements, cash flow statements, and related materials required by investor relations and internal management.
* Implements formal processes for obtaining and analyzing information gathered from internal business units for financial report preparation.
* Provides technical accounting research and analysis; oversees the review and interpretation of new and proposed accounting regulations.
* Advisor for senior management's compliance for required U.S. GAAP and SEC filings.
* Liaises with auditors as part of the financial reporting processes.
* May draft or work with investor relations management to prepare sales and earnings press releases, reports for securities analysts, investors and industry groups.
* Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
* Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
* Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.
* Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
* Act as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
* Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.
* Often may lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team
* Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
* In some instances this manager may be responsible for a functional area and may not have any subordinate employees.
EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION:
* BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline and 7 years of related work experience is required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
* CPA/CMA and/or completed/in process advanced degree
* A mix of public accounting firm and private industry experience
