A healthcare technology company that provides 24-hour medical alert and tele-health services to customers throughout the United States and Canada through B2B and B2C channels. This company is a dynamic and growing enterprise that offers its services directly to customers as well as through strategic partnerships with hospitals, local governments and health care agencies, among others.
Role:
The VP of Business Development will lead and build a burgeoning division of an established enterprise.
This VP is a proven, high energy, self-motivated Professional with a strong marketing background. The position will involve a combination of strategic leadership and roll-up-your-sleeves new business development. This is an opportunity to build a sophisticated sales organization from the ground up, starting with a base investment and growing with performance. You combine the discipline and drive of a seasoned sales executive with the creativity and resourcefulness of a boot-strap entrepreneur.
Responsibilities:
New Business Development
* Identify opportunities – both large and small strategic partnerships
* Think creatively of ways to distribute the company's suite of services
* Plan and lead new business prospecting efforts
* Lead and close sales opportunities
* Develop and negotiate agreements in coordination with executive team
Sales Management
* Recruit, train, and lead sales team
* Develop and refine selling strategy and selling cycle management.
* Continually evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results
Marketing
* Develop and execute marketing strategies, including “go-to-market” plans
* Manage company events and industry PR
* Work with executive team to refine product positioning and pricing
* Deploy marketing budget for maximum return
Requirements:
* 8-10 years in B2B sales (technology, medical device, e-commerce distribution) and marketing
* Strong understanding of prospecting new business from multiple sources.
* Successful track record selling software solutions, medical devices, or electronics to health related organizations at hospitals, clinics, e-commerce resellers, social programs/non-profits, religious institutions, or other direct marketing oriented clients
* Experience building, managing, and growing a sales team from the ground up for a start-up or early e-commerce company; experience managing inside sales operations a plus
* Experience developing successful sales and marketing strategies for both enterprise clients and small/medium businesses
* Experience building and managing lead/contact processes and databases
* Energetic, driven self-starter and team player
* Excellent written and verbal communications
* Strong networking and relationship management skills
