We are currently recruiting for a Director, Disbursements to join our Finance team. This role will be responsible for planning, organizing and executing the day-to-day operations of the payroll, accounts payable, purchasing and commission functions while improving overall effectiveness and efficiency of processes through performance management and delivery against key metrics. Responsibilities / Requirements * Oversees the payroll functions including time capture, timely accurate payroll and associated tax calculations, general compliance with federal state and local regulations and completion of SOX procedures
* Oversees the accounts payable functions including compliance with expense policy and signing levels, accurate coding of costs, timely distribution of payments, and completion of SOX procedures
* Oversees the purchase order / warehouse stocking transactional functions including monitoring levels, ensuring compliance with purchasing policy and authorization levels, and completion of SOX procedures. Negotiating vendor agreements is a separate function at the company.
* Oversees the commission functions including understanding compensation programs, ensuring compliance with same, reporting key statistics to sales and completion of SOX procedures
* Leads the development and rollout of improvement projects including, but not limited to, process improvement for payroll entry, payables entry and approvals, purchasing entry and receipts, and system integration to drive efficiency and accuracy.
* Serves as focal point for implementing improvements in customer satisfaction by reducing errors and simplifying internal processes for expense reports, payables and purchase order processing.
Education/Experience Required:
* Bachelor's degree required.
* 8 yrs experience managing a function.
* Project and Process Management Certification a plus. Application of Lean Six Sigma tools a plus.
* Experience in proactive talent management including: recruiting, selection, training, development, coaching, counseling, retention efforts and recognition.
* Experience in establishing employee's expectations for success and monitoring progress in performance, achieving balanced production and accomplishing key performance indicators.
* Understanding of general business and customer service issues.
* Must have advanced Excel skills as well as other Microsoft Office product skills
* Knowledge of best practice for disbursements
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and organization skills.
* Prior use of Solomon / Microsoft Dynamics software a plus
