Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants needed for Home Health Care Agency. Reports to the team coordinator. Administers physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist; provides education and information to patients and caregivers; participates in required discharge planning and completes all required documentation according to policy. May be assigned other duties such as clinical instructor for student affiliations, performance improvement, and program development. Must be a graduate of an approved program for physical therapy assistants. Must have current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Virginia or be licensure eligible. Other requirements include BLS completion within 3 months of hire. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to operate and apply therapeutic equipment; ability to lift/push/pull light to heavy equipment, supplies, and patients; creativity and problem solving skills.

Requirements below are for PT. PTA needs PTA program and PTA license instead.

1. Bachelor or Master Degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program.
2. Must have a current license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia or be licensure eligible.
3. BLS completion within 3 months of hire.
