Job description :
This is a newly created role resulting from the expansion and diversification of their US Trading businesses. This position is for a Head of Balance Sheet and Legal Entity Reporting within their Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities division. The role is broader than the typical Controller position which provides significant cross training opportunities. Prepare quarterly financial statements for over 30 legal entities in accordance to US GAAP and IFRS Liaise with business unit controllers, management reporting, tax, and treasury to ensure consistent accounting and reporting throughout the firm. Ensure the commodity and fixed income trading desks correctly adhere to all capital and funding regulatory requirements. Assess and review the impact of accounting policies on new transactions including: cross border and other complex transactions. Monitor and update accounting procedures to facilitate reconciliation and settlement, reduce out-of-balances, and minimize the impact of regulatory charges. Design and implement new internal control procedures to improve quality of the B/S close. Maintain integrity of all sub-ledgers and produce monthly management reports detailing capital management, expenses etc.

Who we are looking for :
Must have CPA and significant experience preparing financial statements according to US GAAP & IFRS Must have demonstrated impressive career progression and those with exemplary academic credentials will be given priority. Must have financial services experience within industry or a Public Accounting firm is a prerequisite.Applicants with middle office P&L experience who are not accountants will not be considered.
