Responsibilities
:
The Quality System Director will be responsible for the administration and management of all aspects of implementing a Global Quality System across all North American, China and Europe plants. Responsibilities include management of internal and external relationships relative to create standardized processes for all Quality Systems implementations and working on resolving customer related issues in a timely manner.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Quality Systems
* Initiate and lead project teams to develop and implement a Global Web based quality system to automate, integrate and standardize key quality processes throughout all manufacturing sites.
* Lead Project management of problem analysis and resolution activity to eliminate major quality system issues across plants
* Implementing standard processes across each plant for:
o Advanced Quality Planning
o Engineering/Customer/Supplier Change Notices
o Customer/Internal/Supplier Corrective Action Process
o Quality Metrics and Reporting
o Global Auditing
o ISO 9000
o Process Control Systems
* Benchmark best practices globally
* Standardize and conduct training for:
o Employee skills and certification
o Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA)
o 8d corrective action process
o SPC
* Developing global based Quality System procedures and processes
* Perform internal quality system audits as required.
Customer Focused
Customer Communication
* Establish Customer site visits and develop quality presentations
* Leading and establishing scheduled quality reviews with key customers
* Provide technical support to customer relations for repetitive issues and actions to eliminate Customer Data Analysis and Corrective Actions
* Coordinate and Manage all Customer corrective actions to assure timely and effective responses
* Standardized Customer reporting and metrics
o Internal reports
o External reports
* Analyze data to identify quality trends
* Inform management of emerging issues and matters that require immediate attention
Minimum Job Qualifications and Requirements:
* Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Spanish is mandatory
* Prior experience in electronics/automotive Industry preferred.
* Knowledge of ISO 9000 and/or TS16949
* Experience with resolving customer/supplier issues
