Works as a senior consulting enterprise architect with Cisco's largest enterprise customers to establish an architectural agenda to solve their business problems. Builds multiple, executive-level relationships within Cisco's customers to become a trusted advisor. Leads efforts to craft and deliver business value justification, enterprise architecture & integration solutions, business process change, IT/Business governance, and organizational change management. This individual helps customers think through and define IT strategy and resulting requirements. Will create conceptual and logical architectures for the solution. These solutions might include technical infrastructure (including network), data, middleware, applications, security, and/or systems management. Individual engages subject matter experts from within the Cisco Services organization (CA), the development business units (CDO) and/or partners as needed. Individual applies IT operational experience to ensure successful implementations, enlisting business SMEs (e.g., financial analysts) as needed.
Creates and delivers innovative solutions that increase awareness, generate leads, strengthen customer relationships and build sales opportunities.
Applies relevant vertical industry experience in helping customers solve problems.
Solution Scope
Can work with a customer to facilitate IT strategy and requirements. Can then provide a complete technical solution for a large enterprise and of high complexity. Can lead multi-company, cross-functional technical teams. Can provide complete business architecture for most IT functions.

Communicates persuasively. Excellent presentation skills. Strong communications skills across various media and to diverse audiences. Customer influence and relationship skills. Experienced track record working with senior (CxO) managers of Global 1000 companies.
Problem Solving

Skills Required (Related Business and Technical Knowledge)
Complete technical architecture: deep expertise in two or more technology domains (network/infrastructure, data, applications / middleware) but fluency in all technology domains. Fluency in network technologies and related, advanced technologies. Expertise in most soundness disciplines (availability, security, etc.) and operations disciplines (systems management, change management, etc.) Expertise in most IT business architecture areas including business process design and governance.
Skills in directing federated teams comprised of direct reports, matrixed reports and 3rd parties. Program implementation skills including project portfolio management, and the planning, reporting and directing the work of others across multiple implementation projects concurrently. Mentors team members.
A track record of organization-wide change, driven by significant, innovative ideas.

Education
Requires a technical undergraduate degree (or equivalent). MS or MBA strongly preferred. Requires 11-15 years working experience in a combination of IT consulting / systems integration, IT management / senior staff roles, and high tech industry roles. Requires a track record of responsibility for managing multiple programs and/or medium to large functional teams.
*Must be willing and able to travel 80-100%, mostly USA.
*Must have deep vertical knowledge in at least one of the following industries:
Manufacturing (NY, Detroit, or Cincinnati preferred),
Retail (Atlanta OR Southern Region location preferred), Financial Services (NY, San Jose/San Francisco, Phoenix, or Charlotte preferred),
Energy or Oil/Gas (flexible to major airport city location).
