Position description The person in this position will work closely with Development Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to guide projects through all phases of the Development Process. The primary responsibility is creating, managing, monitoring, and coordinating the integrated project plans, including implementation schedules, cost estimates, and resource estimates, for Product, Services, and Application deliveries. Resource tracking includes internal Development Resources, onsite Contract Resources, offsite Resources, external Vendors, etc. Project Plans include tasks, or interfaces to tasks, performed by groups within and outside of Engineering including Manufacturing, Support, and Operations.

Required Experience * Experience in leading a large scale product development project of over 50 person
* Five or more years experience in a structured Product Development environment, using techniques, principles, and practices of Project and Program Management.
* Experience in developing software products utilizing iterative process (UML, Agile, etc)
* Ability to perform in-depth work analyses and develop project budgets and projections.
* Advanced usage capabilities with standard Microsoft tools including Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Organizing resources and establishing project priorities.
Ramp up of resources in a short period of time Experience * Four or more years software development experience; especially in C, C , Java, or Linux
* Ability to support and track multiple simultaneous projects.
Responsibilities * Develop integrated project plans, implementation schedules, and cost estimates for projects of various sizes across all Engineering disciplines including Hardware, Mechanical, Embedded Software, and Application Software. Plans include project resource requirements, schedules, capital expenditures, expense expenditures, and physical resource allocation.
* Execute project plans including coordination of resource allocation, scheduling between groups, setting and tracking deadlines, and Purchase Order generation,
* Perform day-to-day tracking of the assigned project(s) to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed, that goals and objectives are met, and that services and projects are being accomplished efficiently and effectively within agreed upon budgets.
* Perform risk analysis, identify risk areas, and facilitate development of alternate plans or risk mitigation measures.
* Prepare presentations regarding the status of current project initiatives for regular communication with Engineering andin general.
* Present the project status to the business leadership
* Deliver the project on budget and time to market
Required Skills * Leadership - Ability to motivate and inspire people to keep the project moving toward successful completion even in the face of the physical demands of aggressive project schedules and the emotional demands of discouraging developments.
* Customer relation - Managing the interactions between the customer and the rest of the project team. When the customer is external to the performing organization, it also involves managing the interactions between the customer and the performing organization. The result of good customer relations is that both parties are enthusiastic about both the relationship.
* Project planning - Ability to devise and maintain a workable plan to accomplish the need that the project was undertaken to address.
* Performance measurement - Collecting and analyzing project information to determine where the project stands and to predict future status and progress.
