Manage and lead the Linux, Windows and OpenVMS systems engineering teams. Requires in-depth systems engineering knowledge and experience along with people, process and project management expertise. Must have experience managing mission critical systems environments and providing 24 x 7 3rd level support for systems related issues.

Responsibilities:
* Develop staff leadership responsibilities within his/her team of IT professionals
* Effectively manage and direct highly skilled systems engineering team for all level III systems activities
* Manage team project roadmap
* Manage multiple technically complex projects that are highly visible
* Sponsor and direct staff in project manager roles for major systems design and implementation related activities
* Act as facilitator for external department projects requiring systems engineering staff support
* Direct staff on systems project deliverables, timelines, and priorities to ensure department, division and corporate project goals are met
* Manage, escalate and communicate critical production systems issues on 24X7X365 basis to resolution
* Work with team on defining platforms, architectures and technical solution
* Manage 3-5 year systems strategy
* Interface with business to identify practical solutions applicable to the business need
* Work with project managers and technical staff in defining and documenting technical project requirements

Required Experience:
* Must have expertise in Linux Operating System
* Hire and retain staff with high competence in the systems technologies and engineering practices
* Manage, leverage and influence ISE system hardware and service vendors to achieve desired outcomes of negotiations, meetings, implemented solutions and contracted engagements.
* Ensure appropriate staffing and support available to resolve unexpected service outages and emergencies on a 24x7 basis
* Develop and manage staffs training and certification roadmap
* Provide off-hours escalation and management by accepting and taking ownership of project and user requests originating from inside and outside the group. Also consistently demonstrate timely responses to such requests.
* Provide guidance on the creation of the appropriate departmental policies and procedures
