Job Description:
This is a unique opportunity and time of rapid change in the mobile industry for a Senior Product Manager in the Mobile Communications Services team to help drive the launch and evolution of the Windows® Marketplace for Mobile.
Key Responsibilities include the following:
Drive the development of sales tools, business processes, and other information or programs to support the world wide business development and field sales resources engaged with Windows® Marketplace for Mobile.
Drive the development of sales tools, business processes, and other information or programs to support Windows® Marketplace for Mobile within our mobile operator partners
Actively support our business development and other teams as related to the service
Drive the rollout of new aspects of the service, which are cross functional in nature and include but are not limited to business, financial, operational, technical integration, policy, and others.
Work closely with Product Planning, Product Management, and other key stakeholders on prioritization of consumer, developer, and mobile operator scenarios for subsequent updates to the service
Drive prioritization of key deployments with stakeholders across engineering, deployment, partner, business development, and other teams.
Drive tracking, reporting, and analysis vs. key performance indicators for the aspects of the business this role is responsible for
Other projects and responsibilities required to support the launch and evolution of the Windows®
Marketplace for Mobile service, business, and Product Management activities
This position requires excellent communication skills in a variety of environments (including written, formal and informal meetings, executive presentations, etc) and with a variety of technical and marketing audiences. Other requirements include: ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously across various audiences; strong cross-group and cross-division collaboration skills; competitive spirit; aptitude for strategic planning; and willingness to travel. You must have demonstrated success in starting, building and driving new business.

The ideal candidate will also have:
*10 years working in marketing, product management, or product planning
*5 years experience in the mobile communications industry
*Experience working with mobile operators, preferably experience at a mobile operator
*Experience with mobile content or applications
*Experience launching v1 services
*Experience in working with legal counsel and 3rd parties on complex agreements
*Experience with working with ISV's, preferably in the mobile industry
*A MBA is strongly preferred
The position is based in Redmond which is mandatory due to the close day to day interaction with Redmond and Seattle based teams. There position is required to travel, however travel up to 20%.
