Job Description
In the role of Business Application Implementation Specialist LAWSON - you will oversee the implementation of business applications that are used by the company, to manage transactions and prepare the financial statements, on consolidated applications.
The person in this role should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of business processes, ERP applications, system architecture, design, project team management, and most importantly the successful deployment of LAWSON in a publicly traded, national company. The position requires you to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization to ensure that implementations are clearly identified, scoped, and delivered.
The specific responsibilities of the Business Applications Implementation Specialist are:
* The candidate must be able to train users, suggest changes in business processes, communicate well, implement new modules, must have a very sound knowledge and experience from finance point of view and must be able to assist new rollout.
* Coordinate with operations and users to conduct necessary LAWSON end user training.
* Ensure that user requests are properly reported, processed, approved by management and comply with corporate policies and procedures.
* Applies knowledge to resolve individual employee questions regarding the system; respond to needs & requests of end users.
* Plan and conduct regression tests, user acceptance tests, and converted data validations for multinational roll-outs.
* Participate in conversion and data cleanup activities in conjunction with other functional teams.
* Collect new application requirements from users / management and coordinate with in house functional IT team for new application development
* Responsible for design, testing, and implementation of new functionality related to financial applications.
* Develop custom reports as dictated by needs of the business
* Work with project plans, schedules, requirement documents, and status reports to oversee one's responsibilities related to an implementation
* Manage project scope and change control, and escalate issues where necessary
Required Experience
* Candidates should have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and have experience implementing Oracle projects both on time and on budget.
* Two plus years experience with LAWSON is a must, with a total of at least three or more years of ERP implementation experience.
* Experience supporting a large user base, fielding support calls, emails, following through on resolution.
* Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance/Accounting or related field, along with at least four years of related experience.
* A working understanding of accounting procedures, terminology, and standard practices according to US GAAP and/or IFRS is required.
* In addition, the candidate should have: excellent analytical and problem-solving skills working with/resolving both user and technical issues; ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, or as part of a team, with tight timeframes; and outstanding customer service skills.
