This individual will play a key role in leading the requirements phase of significantly complex project initiatives. This person may also have management responsibilities for a small team of business analysts. The candidate must be able to effectively manage all levels of the organization. They will also be responsible for communication of all matters pertaining to requirements and business issue to Project Sponsors and Sr. Leadership. This individual serves in a senior level as a master or guru in one or more of the following areas:
- The requirements components of the Delivery Methodology
- Travelers enterprise business architecture
- Travelers product lines
- Travelers business processes
- Travelers supporting systems for any of the above

PRIMARY DUTIES:
-Provide input to project plans as they pertain to requirements
-Provide expertise to requirements projects on Travelers business processes, products, and/or supporting systems
-Provide expertise on Travelers enterprise business architecture
-Provide expertise to other BAs on the techniques and tools that the Delivery Methodology recommends for requirements modeling, review, documentation and management
-Provide expertise on components of the Delivery Methodology that focus on requirements
-Participate in continual improvement of the Delivery Methodology, tools and techniques as they apply to requirements
-Participate in maintaining the business enterprise architecture
-From time-to-time, serve as manager/lead on small-to-large scale requirements projects, business improvement efforts, or enterprise business architecture efforts
-Provide coaching and mentoring to BAs

EDUCATION/COURSE OF STUDY:
Minimum of 8-10 years BA and/or business experience

WORK EXPERIENCE:
-Expertise in the requirements life cycle
-Expertise in requirements analysis and management techniques and tools
-Expertise in business domain knowledge
-Analytical skills
-Coaching/mentoring skills
-Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
-BS or BA degree or equivalent experience

OTHER:
Business Domain Knowledge
-Subject matter expert knowledge of the insurance industry and workflow
-Subject matter expert knowledge of Travelers business areas and/or products, and their supporting systems

Planning/Project Management
-Largely self-directed
-Ability to participate in multiple projects while meeting deadlines
-Ability to coordinate activities with others
-Ability to organize work efficiently and effectively

Mentoring/Leadership
-Ability to advocate for the Business Analyst role across the organization
-Ability to mentor/coach others
-Ability to serve as change agent for new techniques and approaches
-Ability to provide expertise to requirements projects
-Ability to manage/lead complex requirements projects

-Ability to influence outcomes
