We are looking for a Discovery Analyst to be part of a strong and effective global records management team. The Discovery Analyst will be responsible for the collection, preservation and presentation of the records for discovery for all of the corporation. It will be a global collaborative effort to ensure a uniform and seamless delivery of requested information.

The Discovery Analyst executes the discovery request for all records, including electronic records and hard copy records. Works with other team members and Legal Department staff to facilitate and efficient handling of discovery requests. Plan the development and implementation of the discovery process. Ensure information is processed efficiently and effectively and coordinates and implements procedures to ensure that the customer is receiving the maxium level of service possible.

Works in close conjunction with the Legal Department, Information Management, Data Management, Information Services, vendors, and users of information within their region. Provides assistance when needed throughout the organization as follows:
* Executes and manages the discovery management process, including document production, preservation, document reviews and document collection.
* Train personnel involved with discovery on the process, procedures and technology and on electronic records management systems and addresses issues and communicates resolution to other team members.
* Creates and maintains discovery project documentation to ensure a clear audit trail.
* Ensures chain of custody is maintained for client media.
* Identifies and escalates issues and risks as appropriate.
* Facilitates communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
* Manages discovery for the region on submissions to courts and coordinates with the global ediscovery team to ensure processes are followed for a swift and accurate response to requests.
* Monitors regulatory and business requirements and recommending changes to positively impact records management policies, procedures and standards, including retention schedules.
* Reviews and corrects system and procedural errors and issues through a change control escalation process.

This is a long term contract opportunity that will convert to a permanent position 2010. Bachelor's degree required and/or paralegal experience is a plus. At least 5 years specifically in fulfilling discovery request and preferred experience in the enegy industry. Experience in meeting discovery requests, in particular e-discovery requests.
