INTERNIST / IM (MD or DO) BE or BC is needed for a expanding Multi-specialty Primary Care Practice in AUBURN, NY. The TEAM is made up of a full-time Internist, Family Practitioner, two (2) Pediatricians and two (2) part-time Pediatricians. There is a excellent community referral system. The patient mix is 40% self pay and 60% Medicaid. The total service area is and 83k total service area. 7k patients. Very modern office with state of the art equipment.

* LOCATED in the heart of one of the most spectacular landscapes in the United States. The City of Auburn is situated a couple of miles from Owasco Lake and flanked on either side by nearly a dozen other lakes which comprise the Finger Lakes Region. Enjoy three State Parks, and the Erie Canal. There is a abundance of hiking, bike and snowmobile trails. Golf at one the ten public golf courses. Enjoy fishing, hunting, or camping. * COMPENSATION ranges from $140k based on experience. NEGOTIABLE. The gross annual income is evaluated & increases determined by the board after the first year.

* JOB TYPE is Permanent/Retained Employee, Full-time

* WORK SCHEDULE is 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. NO HOSPITAL AFFILIATIONS required. No rounds, No call, No travel.

* LICENSE and EDUCATION required is a application for or possession of a New York State license. BE or BC. New Grads are welcome to apply.

* JOB DESCRIPTION: Outpatient only. Average daily patient load is 21-30 patients per day. PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL SERVICES FOR ADULTS, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR SEX, ON CONTINUING BASIS BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING DUTIES. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
* Review patient chart/record for allergies, medical problems, medications, and immunization status.
* Elicit and record information about patient's medical history.
* NOT REQUIRED to perform labs. All required labs may be sent out.
* Examine patients for symptoms or physical information.
* Order or execute various tests, analysis, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.
* Analyze reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.
* Administer or prescribe treatments.
* Determine and prescribe medication, dosage, and schedule given the patient's condition and allergies.
* Discuss any possible side affects to medication or immunization with patient.
* Prescribe and administer vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases.
* Promote health by advising patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
* NO prenatal care to pregnant women, delivers babies, and provides postnatal care to mothers and infants.
* NO REQUIRED surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency.
* Refer patient to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient's well-being.
* Document the patient's visit including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action.
* Follow up with patient regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases.
* Conduct physical examinations to provide information needed for admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage.

* BENEFITS:
1.) HEALTH INSURANCE is available. Single or family coverage. Two (2) plans to choose from. Employer covers $130/month. Out of pocket expense varies depending on plan chosen.
2.) VACATION TIME is 3 weeks accrued the first year. Second year there is a 4th week to include CME time.
3.) CME is 1 week paid and $1,000 reimbursement (after the first year) (Can divide vaca & CME time as desired).
4.) SICK / PERSONAL TIME is 8 per year, accrued at 8 hours per month.
5.) PAID HOLIDAYS include 10 each year.
6.) RETIREMENT PLAN is a 401-k with a 3% employer match. ( Eligible to join after 1 year. Fully vested after 6 years of employment)
7.) MALPRACTICE INSURANCE coverage is paid by Employer.
8.) RELOCATION expense reimbursement is approximately $1,500 to $2,000.
9.) LIFE INSURANCE is paid by employer up to $50k as well as Disability Insurance.
10.) TAX DEFERRED ANNUITY is a 403B. The Employer contribution is on average, 3% per year of the gross an
