The Architecture and Infrastructure team works closely with the technology teams that directly support the business. This group requires a Deployment specialist that can configure, install, deploy and support applications across a broad range of languages and operating systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in installing in-house and third party application across a variety of operating systems within an integrated enterprise. They will have experience at ensuring that the installation satisfies standards with respect to developer access, user access, license management, incident management, system monitoring, and root cause analysis.

It is expected that Level 1 support will be provided by a standard services organization already in place.

Principal Responsibilities

? Work as part of the Architecture and Infrastructure team, reporting to the team?s manager.

? Design and rollout the installation of vendor and internally developed applications so that they can be supported with offshore resources.

? Document and ?runbook? level 1 support activities so that they can be performed by the offshore team.

? Assist in configuration, scripting, packaging, deployment and process management of software

? Implement self-serve entitlement schemes using Exchange, LDAP, Kerberos and AD.

? Ensure that the systems documentation for each application is correct with respect to hardware inventory, communication lists and comply with the regulated and auditable best practices.

? Document and perform upgrades so that the installation stay scurrent with software provider supported versions.

? Perform second level support and root cause analysis for chronic issues and assist in reporting to the software provider.

? Ensure that outages are communicated, resolved, diagnosed to root cause and folllowed up

? Ensure that the system is using hardware resources effectively and within safe operating thresholds? At least five years of experience in installing and supporting applications with an integrated enterprise

? Good written documentation skills for analyzing and publishing runbooks and BCP plans.

? Strong UNIX and Windows scripting skills (bash, perl, sed, awk, grep, python)

? Linux experience would be a HUGE plus.

? Experience with monitoring, alerting and reporting systems ? such as Nagios or Ganglia are a plus.

? Experience in configuring and managing webservers (tomcat, apache, Iplanet) a plus

? Experience in configuring and managing license servers (FlexLM) a plus

? Cooperate within a team and work in a rigorous and stimulating environment

? Strong commitment toward best practices within enterprise development and deployment

? Very good client facing skills

? Experience as windows or UNIX system administrator would be a plus.
