Sutter Gould Medical Foundation is a not-for-profit health care organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people in the communities it serves. Physician services are provided by Gould Medical Group, Inc., serving Central Valley residents for more than 50 years.

Timely and accurate transcription of physician dictation. Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (SGMF)is a non-profit, multi-specialty health care organization affiliated with Sutter Health. Based in Modesto, SGMF provides quality medical care, health education and research activities in a five-county area. SGMF's medical staff includes family practitioners, internists and pediatricians, as well as a range of specialist physicians. Services include imaging, nuclear medicine, a health library, health education programs, occupational medicine, diabetes education, nutrition counseling, infertility counseling, and weight management. 

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.   Completion of approved Medical Transcription Training Course required.  A combination of education and experience may be substituted. Minimum one year experience as transcriptionist in a multi-specialty setting.   Ability to accurately transcribe dictation of different medical specialties such as would be gained with one year of experience transcribing in a multi-specialty medical office setting or acute care hospital.   Knowledge of medical terminology, grammar, spelling and punctuation necessary to adequately perform job. Knowledge of computer systems. Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English. Ability to transcribe 75 word per minute of dictation within 98% accuracy rate. Ability to transcribe a variety of different report types and physician specialties to include but not limited to History and Physicals, Consults, Radiology, Pathology, Cardiology,  Dermatology as well as a variety of physician accents.  Regular and timely attendance. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift from the floor to waist 35 lbs., occasional push/pull 11-50 feet, and carry items up to 10 feet.
