Emergency Department Director Position Description: The Emergency Department Director will be responsible for successful operation of the Emergency Department by assessing needs of the units/services developing long and short term plans, implementing plan, policies, and procedures. Provides leadership and guidelines to associates and upholds the organizational values and missions. Role model for service excellence behaviors. The successful candidate will meet the following requirements: * 3-5 years Emergency Room Management experience required * Previous experience as a Clinical Coordinator or Assistant Nurse Manager in an ER will also be considered * Bachelor's Degree in related field and state RN license required * CEN certification preferred. The department is part of a 230 bed acute care facility, serving as a referral source for all of northwest Georgia and parts of Alabama.
