The locum tenes dermatologist (LT) will see patients of all ages in standard medical/surgical Dermatology clinical practice. The LT can expect to see 25 to 30 patients per day in the clinic 8am to 5 pm (including a lunch break) Monday thru Friday. Appropriate nursing and support staff are available. The LT will not be required to do surgery other than biopsies. If desired, the LT may do their own excisions of skin cancer, or there cases me be referred to the head dermatologist. MOHS surgery is not done onsite. Phototheray and an excimer laser are available. Hospital consults are rare.
