A growing ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL in Syracuse, NY is expanding services. The hospital is seeking to add a MEDICAL SURGICAL REGISTERED NURSE / M/S RN to it's staff as a Permanent/Retained Employee. * NEW GRADUATES are encouraged to apply.

* COMPENSATION ranges from $41K for New Grads to 54.9k with ten or more years of experience. * NEW GRADUATES are encouraged to apply.

* WORK SCHEDULE (approximate) Shifts are 8 hrs. Start Time(s) are 7am, 9am, 11am, 12:30pm 3pm. Weekends & Holidays call.

* LICENSE and EDUCATION required is a application for or possession of a New York State license. Certification in specialty is preferred but not required. Possess a current BCLS.

* JOB DESCRIPTION: Nurse to patient ratio 5 to 7.

8.) Manage the care of patients with multiple medical, surgical, and/or psychiatric diagnoses.
9.) Manage the care of patients with diagnoses across all medical specialties.
10.) Provide dignity and respect in end-of-life decision-making and care.

1.) HEALTH INSURANCE: There are four (4) health insurance plans to choose from and two (2) dental plans Coverage is effective the first of the month following a three-month (90 day) waiting period. Discounts for hospital services including an employee pharmacy are provided.
2.) VACATION, PERSONAL & SICK TIME : Up to 4 weeks of vacation is accrued after completion of one year of employment. Every (5) years 1 more day is accrued. Sick time is accrued up to 11days per year. Personal time is four (4) days per year.
3.) PAID HOLIDAYS : Ten (10) holidays include: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and four (4) Floating Holidays.
4.) RETIREMENT PLAN: The Hospital provides a non-contributory defined benefit plan with vested rights after 5 years of service. Tax Sheltered Annuities are available. There is a choice of three (3) insurance companies with a variety of investment funds that offer tax-deferred savings to our employees.
5.) LIFE INSURANCE: Group Term: Full time exempt employees are eligible for coverage in the amount of two times their annual salary.
