POSITION DETAILS
The chosen candidate will develop and implement strategies to manage material levels at such a point to meet customer on-time delivery as well as internal inventory goals. Direct the activities of personnel in the warehouse, shipping, planning, and scheduling departments to ensure the achievement of facility and corporate goals.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate with program managers, operations, quality and engineering to achieve company and customer goals.
2. Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems.
3. Responsible for accurate inventory cycle counts, and controls.
4. Personally supervise development (coaching and teaching) of supervisors and ensure they have the proper tools and training to perform their jobs effectively.
5. Ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction through negotiation of customer expectations, and managing and directing staff activities required to meet this expectation.
6. Minimize inventory levels and excess and obsolescence.
7. Support the management review process of the quality system.
8. Monitor material requirements and coordinate with internal and external resources to achieve goals.
9. Develop best practice models and implement continuous process improvement for the material’s organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business management, computer science, or related field is required.
5-10 years in a leadership role, preferred electronics materials experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Baan knowledge a plus MRPII APICS certification a plus Lean Manufacturing techniques Coaching and Mentoring in Team Based environment/Facilitation of meetings.
