VanderHouwen & Associates, Inc. (VHA) is a professional staffing services firm specializing in the IT industry since 1987. We are looking for a Sr. IT Account Manager with high energy and an eye for the future to grow with us as the economy rebounds.



As a Sr. IT Account Manager, your responsibilities will include new business development and client penetration, as well as maintaining existing accounts. Your overall goals will be to develop and maintain lasting relationships, understand our clients’ needs, work with our highly skilled recruiting staff to identify the most qualified candidates, and provide ongoing support for our clients and consultants. You will be expected to be involved in the full hiring cycle process including qualifying orders with customers, presenting and marketing qualified candidates, coordinating interviews, negotiating offers and compensation, conducting reference checks and coordinating pre-employment paperwork and screening.



We are looking for proven performers who are able to handle high-volume staffing without compromising quality. You must have excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, possess the ability to build valuable relationships with individuals at all levels, be able to solve problems analytically and creatively, and know how to persuade and influence with tact while driving for results.



Ideal candidates will be career-driven/high-energy individuals with the following:


-5+ years of Account Management or related software sales experience.

-Must have a proven track record in sales in the IT industry. Bring your existing Portland relationships with you.

-Must have a verifiable track record of consistent growth and top performance.
-Strong work ethic. Must be a self-starter and self-motivated.
-Goal-oriented and money-motivated.
-Must possess strong time management and organizational skills coupled with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
-Need to be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
-Excellent judgment and fact-finding skills are essential.
-Experienced in creative lead sourcing through networking, organizations, Internet, referrals, etc.
-MUST be a team player.
-Additional IT Sales/Account Management experience preferred.
-Knowledge of Microsoft computer software programs including Word and Outlook.
-4-year university degree strongly preferred.
