Sanford Rose Associates - Fallen Timbers has an excellent Service and Parts Manager/Director opportunity with our client company, who is a major international manufacturer of construction-related equipment. This position will reside in the Atlanta, Georgia metro area.

This is a well-established company with well-respected brands both internationally and here in the U.S. The successful candidate will possess a bachelor degree and experience (at least five years) in managing field service and/or service call centers in the agricultural/construction/mining equipment manufacturing industries. She/he will manage an already-established organization including call center, field service managers, field service technicians and parts sales personnel. Our client is seeking a lead-from-the trenches type of manager, who enjoys and excels at mentoring people, leads successfully and collaboratively in a matrixed organizational structure, and who can demonstrate experience in having led a profitable service/parts business, either regionally or nationally.

This is an ideal opportunity for a high-performing Service/Parts Manager, who wants to be backed by excellent product quality, a talented management organization, the strong financials of a major International manufacturing organization but within a culture here in the U.S. which feels more like family. Due to the flatness of our client's organizational structure, this opportunity will be afforded excellent visibility and accessibility with/to their senior management team.

The role will require overnight travel (up to 50%), and will come with competitive compensation including salary/bonus, 401K, Health/Dental benefits and the opportunity for ongoing education. Relocation allowance will be offered for the successful candidate.

Some of the Major Functions of this position will include but not be limited to:

- Development and implementation of an ongoing parts and service strategy throughout North America.
- Prioritization of schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities. Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance. Counsel employees about work-related issues and job-skill deficiencies.
- Interfacing with management, engineering, quality control, and sales teams, to coordinate work activities, resolve customer grievances, and identify and review resource needs.
- Provide technical and non-technical support. Develop, present, or respond to proposals.

Required skills and attributes for the position will include
:

- Ability to mentor, motivate, develop, and direct people as they work,
- Ability to identify and recruit the best people for the job.
- A highly focused “customer first” attitude, employing effective communication skills to best prioritize customer needs convey proper alignment of company resources to meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Application of logic, reasoning and strong strategic and tactical vision to identify the strengths and weaknesses within the service organization and offer alternative outside of the box solutions.
- Ability to assess performance: yourself, others, and the organization as a whole to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Communication/listening skills are extremely important. Understanding the need to make change based on external inputs
