General Manager – Global Network and Content Service Providers
The General Manager will drive strategic planning, development and program implementation of marketing and communications initiatives related to the network and content service providers' vertical market. The individual will have global revenue accountability (Future P&L responsibility expected) and will work closely with the global sales organization to achieve the company's revenue targets and industry goals.
The successful candidate will be directly leading a team of global marketing and program development professionals and will be accountable for:
Responsibilities:
• Drive Global Business Development initiatives within the Global Network and Content Service Provider Industry and act as a subject matter expert working with partners and customers through 3 regional distribution channels.
• Manage strategic planning, development and coordination of all marketing programs to promote the sale of company products and further the company's sales objectives within the target vertical segment.
• Interface with the product development team to define requirements and implement go-to-market plans on interconnection solutions for networks and content providers, including new industry-leading platforms to enable settlement, support next generation network-to-network interconnection solutions, support of all aspects of internet business supply chains and drive multiple neutral interconnection solutions to maximize customer network asset values.
Implement successful strategies on a variety of direct, online and event marketing campaigns, with specific ROI and benchmark targets.
• Oversee sales support and training on product and campaign activities.
• Build internal domain expertise within executive and expert ranks to drive The company's value proposition as neutral enabler of interconnection.
• Consult with other areas of management or global business units, sales departments, and customers as appropriate to leverage and implement effective web marketing, trade show activity, direct marketing programs.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. The General Manager will manage a direct team of up to 6 marketing, product and sales managers as well as dotted line relationships in Europe and Asia.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
• 10 years of marketing, channel sales and product development experience in the network services, content and colocation / hosting industries. Domain knowledge in working with product development and implementing campaign strategies that support network and industry benchmark targets.
• Experience in working in telecommunications and technology companies of various sizes and growth profiles and demonstrated ability to interact internally and externally with C or board level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters.
• Preferable experience in Business Development negotiating large contacts for Carriers and Network to Network Interconnections a plus.
• 10 years of team management experience in a fast-growing environment with significant knowledge of telecommunications product development, advertising, brand development and sales support.
• Proven track record of successful project implementation.
• Graduate degree in marketing/business studies highly preferred.
