M.D., Pharm.D. or Ph.D. (other Doctoral degrees considered) in medically related field. Post doctoral training (e.g. residencies and/or fellowships) can be part of their related experience. At least seven (7) or more years of related experience in total, including two (2) years of clinical practice experience or research experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years of industry/medical liaison experience strongly preferred in an Oncology knowledge area strongly desired. Research experience is preferred including, experience with writing protocols, recruitment of patients, site development and initiation experience, and scientific publications.
This position is within the Oncology Regional Medical Liaison (RML) - Therapeutic Area Unit. The RML will provide coverage for the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.
The Senior Regional Medical Liaison - (Sr. RML) will identify, develop, and maintain collaborative relationships with current and future thought leaders. Work with thought leaders to develop clinical therapeutic concepts that support the advancement of the science associated with Amgens advances in Oncology therapeutics. The successful Sr. RML will disseminate complex cutting edge technical information, innovative medical education materials and research concepts to these thought-leaders. They will serve as the face of Amgen to Centers of Influence in supporting visiting professorships, guest lecturers, symposia workshops that are within the purview of Medical Affairs. Make clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare audiences. Foster medical and scientific information exchange from the medical community to Amgen. Provide clinical and scientific support for formulary, contracting and clinical guideline decisions. She/He will participate on committees or project teams that support RML strategies and tactics as delegated by RML leadership. Support thought leaders in developing concepts and writing letters of intent for investigator initiated non-registration pre-clinical and clinical trials that support Amgens products. Seward collection and reporting of competitive intelligence at centers of influence and scientific meetings. Support field sales and corporate account efforts related to presenting clarity around clinical and scientific information supporting therapeutic decisions in patient care. Provide support for answering unsolicited off-label questions. Foster relationships between Amgen and Amgens sponsored fellows.
