Our client, a dynamic, growing, fast-paced, entrepreneurial commercial private real estate investment company seeks a take-charge, real estate professional to join the acquisitions group. The company has a strong track record of exceptional returns and is currently in the process of raising a private equity fund to continue to acquire opportunistic real estate assets and achieve above average market returns. As current market conditions improve, the company has an aggressive plan to continue to acquire and develop office, industrial and multi-family properties in the Metro Washington, DC area. The senior management team is comprised of experienced real estate professionals and is positioned for significant transactional activity over the next three to five years.
Position:
Reporting to the President this individual will work closely with senior management to source office, industrial and multifamily assets. Responsibilities will include the following:
* Identify and sourceboth brokered and direct, off market acquisitions in the Washington DC /Baltimore metro area to include performing assets, distressed assets, loanand potential development/redevelopment sites.
* Develop and maintainrelationships with brokers, owners and special servicers
Candidate:
* Minimum 8 yearsof relevant real estate experience in either the owner/principal or brokerside of real estate. In-depth knowledge and experience of commercialreal estate required. Prior sourcing experience required.
* Prior experience andknowledge of the Metro Washington commercial real estate market. Understand the various submarkets andhave real estate contacts in the marketplace.
* Strong entrepreneurialspirit with the ability to manage multiple transactions. Enjoy working ina fast-paced, informal, fluid environment with changing priorities.
* Experience dealingwith investors and outside consultants. The person should have the ability to provide solutions in apositive, constructive manner while gaining the confidence and support ofothers.
* Excellent problemsolving and decision making skills. Given the exposure and visibility this person will have, thesuccessful candidate should have excellent oral and written communicationsskills.
