SUMMARY:
The role of the Program Specialist is to provide sexual health education to the community and/or specified target populations.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
AD, BS/BA degree or equivalent experience required.
Commitment to the Planned Parenthood mission. High comfort level in discussing sexuality issues.
Strong organizational and communication skills. Belief in the mission of Planned Parenthood.
Knowledge of sexual health preferred.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
Bilingual English/Spanish (speak, read, write, translate) required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


1.
Teach sexual health curricula presentations and lesson plans to targeted audiences.
2.
Provide specialized outreach and education to target populations.
3.
Guide clients in the identification of and connection to appropriate community resources.
4.
Maintain and promote program goals and objectives.
5.
Collect and monitor program data for tracking and monthly reporting.
6.
Assist in the development of new material and innovative strategies to improve educational programs.
7.
Administer intakes, assessments and exit interview to program participants.
8.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with outside organizations in an effort to develop opportunities for PPRM educational programs.
9.
Represent PPRM and promote its mission and services to the community.
10.
In collaboration with the Program Manager, market the program to community agencies, schools and program participants
11.
Assist in program development and evaluation.
12.
In collaboration with the Program Manager score and analyze education program data.
13. Other duties as assigned.
