As a key contributing member of the Learning and Design team, the position of e-learning designer reports directly to the Manager, Learning and Development. With the opportunity to combine both creativity and technical expertise - this position is responsible for HMC enterprise wide web based learning technology projects that have direct positive business impact on the clinical and enrollment call center operations. Primary duties include: performing instructional analysis, design and development, troubleshooting, debuging, implementation and configuration management, as well as maintenance of software code and web sites. This position also consults with operations personnel by providing significant technical direction on major development projects. Additionally, this position will be responsible for conception and proposal of new ideas and products to support business needs, while guiding the implementation of these ideas and products within an application.
This position will also collaborate with web content owners, graphic designers, and other members of a project team on requirements, design, development and implementations of projects - as well as own the development of sub-project plans, functional specifications, and schedules. We seek a high performing candidate with extensive experience with new web technologies, internet / Web tools, protocols and programming languages.
This position also requires periodic travel and flexibility to work across all time zones in support of business operations. May be based at any of the HMC Care Center operations in Atlanta, GA, Richmond, VA, Indianapolis, IN, Denver, CO, Nashville, TN, or St. Louis, MO.
Skills:
This position requires a BS/MS in Computer Science, Instructional Technology or a related field, 5 plus years of web design/development, and 5 plus years supporting a training/learning organization; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Certified Instructional Technologist (CIT) or MS certifications preferred. Ability to travel maybe required. Experience with learning management systems and authoring tools are preferred.
