Position Purpose: Develop and present training related to health care insurance products with special focus on populations of children, child advocates, government agencies, and Medicaid. Conduct training needs assessments and prepare and present instruction; assist in developing training schedules. Coordinate training activities with all stakeholders in the foster care system. Position Responsibilities: Conduct training needs analyses and develop appropriate training programs related to the foster care health care delivery system with special focus on foster families, child advocates, law enforcement, government agencies, Medicare, Medicaid and managed behavioral healthcare. Develop and provide formal provider staff training in a collaborative process with Network staff. Develop and provide training for external stakeholders including; caseworkers, foster care providers, judicial representatives and child advocates. Coordinate and schedule internal staff training in conjunction with appropriate management staff, and hiring and training demands. Conduct training sessions covering specific areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, leadership, and all other state-mandated training activities, etc. Evaluate and recommend external training programs. Able to travel up to 50%.

Experience: Knowledge/Experience:

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in one or more of the following areas: Health Care Education, Human Resource Development; Communications; Adult Education; at least 4 years of employee development and training experience, preferably in managed care/insurance environment.

Masters degree in Behavioral Health or Social Science or LCSW, LMFT, LPC preferred. Strong computer literacy (MS-Office Suite); Very strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with the Texas Foster Care program strongly preferred. Ability to travel extensively within the state of Texas.

*Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

Skills/Competencies:

Experience in developing and presenting training to variety of audiences through personal, electronic and print mediums. Strong computer literacy (MS-Office Suite); Very strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel extensively.
