Position Description: Senior Storage Administrator
General requirements:
The Storage Administrator will be involved with daily storage operational tasks such as provisioning, storage connectivity, storage allocation, incident, problem management and the implementation of changes to the storage operational infrastructure.
As a member of the storage team you will be required to perform administration tasks primarily on NetApp filers along with project work that will utilize approximately 20% of your time. Planning and executing upgrades and enhancements to the environment are part of the role. As a senior associate you will provide guidance and mentorship to the junior members of the team. Some backup and restore activities will be required. You must be available on-call and for after-hours maintenance changes from time to time and act as a point of escalation for technical problems encountered at this site.
This storage team provides ongoing administration and support for an enterprise client of CompuCom Systems Inc. We work with vendors, end users, Customer Service Representatives and other technical staff to resolve advanced Storage hardware/software issues.
Knowledge:
Storage
Management of 900 / 3000 / 6000 series NetApp filers
Working knowledge of
o SAN/NAS Configurations

o Snap Mirror/Snap Vault
o Flex Clones
o Aggregate, Volume, QTree
o LUN Creation and Management
o VMWare
o General SAN Environments (e.g. Clariion)
o DFS Distributed file systems
o Brocade/McData Switches
o EMC CONNECTRIX
o NFS/Automount
o LDAP/NIS
NetBackup
General experience
Bocada reporting tool
StorageTek ACS Library Control Software
UNIX and/or Windows Administration
