VERITAS NetBackup Administrator:

Contractor is needed as a VERITAS NetBackup Administrator. Solid operational background needed for engagement in maintaining enterprise NetBackup enviornment and integrating backups into the technical strategy for Disaster Recovery. Deal with day to day backup job maintenance and monitoring, make sure the backups are run successfully, make corrective actions or liaison with other support team to make sure the backup failures are handled in a timely manner. Candidate should have extensive experience in implementing, and maintaining NetBackup solutions in a large enterprise environment.

Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent in real-world experience. Five (5) years IT professional with at least 2 years as a Storage/Backup Administrator. VERITAS NetBackup 6.X or Higher (UNIX). Detailed knowledge of Enterprise Backup Solutions, Hardware Systems, UNIX and SAN. Superior organization skills and attention to detail, including documentation skills. Highly tuned problem solving and analytical skills a must. Experience in large Backup environment.
