The Pennhurst Group, LLC. has been providing physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to state owned and operated facilities for over 25 years. We are not an agency as it relates to temporary, but rather have long term contracts with the state and have employed healthcare professionals that have been working at state facilities with our group for over 15 years. We specialize in providing services to individuals with mental retardation, developmental disabilities or psychiatric disorders. The individuals live at the center and many have been there for most of their adult years. If you are or have worked in private practice/managed care environment where you may have felt pressure to see as many patients as possible in order to bill for services, you will appreciate our positions. The individuals living at the center may not be on individual Medicare or private insurance so you would not have the hassles associated with billing Medicare, 3rd part insurance, etc. You have the luxury to spend as much time with a patient and not feel the pressure to do "x" number of units per day. The services you provide are reimbursed via funding avenues including state and federal funding. In addition to this position being less stressful than private practice/managed care, you would also have the luxury to work normal hours and could be on your way home everyday by 4:30.
