1.The equivalent of four (4) or more years of full time experience with Oracle’s version
of SQL (Structured Query Language) and PL/SQL (Procedural Language/SQL), Plus, and
SQL Worksheet.
2.The equivalent of three (3) or more years of full time experience in a project
involving databases of health care claims and/or health care eligibility data and/or
other highly confidential data in a government agency or a company involved in the
administration, implementation or operation of a health care program, such as Mediciad,
Medicare or a thire party health insurance company.
3.The equivalent of two (2) or more years full time experience with Oracle’s databases in
the multi-terabyte range. (These two years can be used as part of the 4 year requirement
listed in the first bullet above).

Desirable Requirements for Programmer Analyst II

1.The Data Mart’s primary database is very large: the primary database contains
almost 5 terabytes of used storage and the main table contains over 2 billion rows.
Its size and complexity requires advanced expertise on the part of all professionals
(above the level of the end-user) who interact with it. Experience with multi-terabyte
Oracle databases and the special challenges they pose, will be rated higher than
experience with smaller databases.
2.The Data Mart contains highly confidential client-specific data. Experience
with such confidential data, especially experience in an environment in which
requirements must be met, will be rated higher than other types of experience.
3.The Data Mart contains hundreds of data elements having to do with medical
diagnoses, procedures and rates, providers and recipients of medical care, billing and
payment, including third party payers, and many others. Experience with medical claims,
especially Medicaid claims, will be rated higher than other types of experience.
4.The Data Mart is designed to be the primary reporting tool of . It will be
accessed by staff with vastly different levels of ability. It is crucially
important that consultant staff have the ability to work closely with staff of various
level of computer literacy.
