TYPE: Onsite contract
DURATION: 4 to 6 months, with potential of extensions
TRAVEL: Infrequent local travel may be necessary.
JOB ROLE:
Candidate will be primarily responsible for custom application development focused around Microsoft SharePoint. He/she will participate in the development and implementation of different SharePoint Applications using .NET.
His/her primary role will be to develop solutions in SharePoint using XSL / XSLT, CSS, HTML and ASP.NET and C#.
He/she will develop interfaces, customizations, code reports, and business alerts using Microsoft technologies (using .NET framework, VB.NET, C#, ADO.NET, ASP.NET and Web services and SQL) and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Train or assist with end-user training on all systems.
Should be able to separate the business tier responsibilities from the data tier responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must have 5 to 7 years of demonstrable experience in relevant area of work!
Must have solid understanding of software development methodologies and SDLC
Should have extensive experience with Microsoft SharePoint and designing application using .NET.
Experience with large scale SharePoint Installation and incorporating multiple web application and site collection.
Excellent knowledge of MS database concepts and accounting concepts.

Must have good knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, etc.

Should be able to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written).

Strong work ethic is essential.
EDUCATION:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Comp Sc., MIS, IT, EE or equivalent combination of academics and work experience
