The nurse examiner will provide medical-legal healthcare to men, women, adults and adolescents who have experienced sexual assault. This includes crisis intervention and assessment of patients needs with prompt referral for immediate medical needs. The nurse examiner also collects and preserves forensic evidence, photo-documentation with interpretation of findings and comprehensive case management including expert testimony.

The nurse examiner will also provide medical-legal healthcare to alleged perpetrators of sexual assault. This includes assessment of patient needs with prompt referral of immediate medical needs. This includes collection and preservation of forensic evidence, photo-documentation with interpretation of findings including expert testimony.

Experience: Must have completed a program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution.
Registered nurse with two years general nursing experience in clinical setting, preferably acute care.
In addition, must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS. Completion of State of Alaska SANE training and preceptors requirements within 120 days of training.
