STG International is currently recruiting for a FT Registered Nurse Ambulatory Care supporting the Orthopedic Clinic and Urology Clinic at the Naval Hospital located in Pensacola, FL. This candidate will rotate between the Orthopedic and Urology Clinic every 6 months.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Assess each patient and perform triage duties as assigned.

  • Formulate and carry out a goal directed plan of care which is based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes and which is prioritized according to patient needs and available resources including time, personnel, equipment and supplies.

  • Evaluate effectiveness of self care given by all health team members and contribution of systems

  • Evaluate effectiveness of self care given by all health team members and contribution of systems, environment, and instrumentation in progressing patient toward outcomes.

  • Provide treatment and discharge instructions upon patient release.

  • Perform assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status.

  • Provide a safe and clean environment for each patient.

  • Ensure areas are stocked and properly equipped.

  • Identify patient/significant other learning needs and implement appropriate measures to meet identified needs.

  • Assist in planning, supervising and instructing LPN/LVN, nursing assistants and ancillary personnel.



This position requires the applicant to provide proof of U.S. citizenship to work at the government facility. Applicants are required to complete a professional credentialing and background verification process, which can take 30 - 90 days, prior to commencement of employment.

Experience: Candidate must possess the following:



  • Possess education as follows: Either (a) a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or (b) a Diploma Graduate in Nursing, or (c) an Associate degree in Nursing.

  • Possess a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the Virgin Islands.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience within the last 36 months in a Ambulatory Care setting.
