With 3 state of the art outdoor test ranges, a compact range, an arc range and a point to point range, we are seeking a test range engineer who will devote their time to Instrument controls and data analysis.

2 – 20 years of experience in a test range environment

Antenna experience is extremely helpful, but not mandatory

The 3 key attributes that deems a qualified candidate are the following:
1.Instrumentation Control experience
2.RF test and measurement experience, preferable with Antennas and Radar Cross Section (RCS) testing
3.Data Analysis

·This individual must know test and measurements but also how to Control equipment through (GPIB) General purpose interface Bus / HPIB Hewlett Packard Interface Bus / IEE488.
Our goal is to control the equipment through Bus or PC / Ethernet connections, versus GPIB.
As much as it would be helpful to have Ethernet experience, as long as you have GPIB experience, the learning curve will be minimal.

·Years of GPIB experience is necessary
·Instrument controls background is key
·Hands-on test and test development position with premier outdoor antenna testing facility.
·Will advance the technical capabilities and accuracy of the facility by originating and implementing simple and sophisticated RF test instrumentation systems and RF test automation software.
·Must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions.
·Will work closely with several skill levels in a team environment.
·Reports to Lead Engineer.
·50% of your day will be working outside in the Test Ranges.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
·Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in RF testing or RF test software automation. Prefer 3-20 years
·Experience developing automated data reduction software. Experience with spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and power meters.
·Must be able to use Microsoft based office products.
·Candidate selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must be granted an Interim Security clearance within 30 days of employment date. Must have or be able to get a security clearance within 90 days after employment.
·Physical Requirements Must be physically able to bend stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and maneuver in and out of confined spaces.
Desired Qualifications: Test automation experience with Microsoft Visual Studio (i.e., Basic, C#, or C++) or LabVIEW.
·Antenna coursework or experience.
·Ability to work with abstract instructions. Ability to think independently, originate ideas and execute tasks with minimal supervision. Works well under pressure and meets aggressive schedules.
