Responsibilities: Ensure code and design meets specifications, quality and security standards, and is maintainable Participate in design sessions with architects and developers Unit test software components Investigate and research defects, present solutions with estimated work effort, and effectively implement tasks Modify existing implementations based on clients' needs Mercer is currently seeking a .Net developer, experienced with C#, to expand our team enhancing and maintaining web-based database applications used by the Investment Consulting business.    Job Responsibilities: Work as part of a collaborative team maintaining and creating web sites and client applications using Microsoft .NET technologies (ASP.NET, AJAX, C#, Web Services) and third party controls. Convert business specifications into development specifications, perform analysis & design, and write technical specifications. Develop, test and manage deployment of packages, stored procedures, triggers and other database-related code on Oracle platforms Work with the ability to accomplish tasks independently while ensuring that deliverables properly integrate with the rest of the applications Create prototypes using the latest .Net technologies and third party applications Ensure code and design meets specifications, quality and security standards, and is maintainable Participate in design sessions with architects and developers Unit test software components Investigate and research defects, present solutions with estimated work effort, and effectively implement tasks Modify existing implementations based on clients' needs. Requirements: Degree/Diploma in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering with minimum 2 year relevant experience.  A background in Investments/Finance would be of preference. 1 years building web applications in ASP.NET (C#) and JavaScript 1 years of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) 1 years of C# and .Net Framework (2.0 and 3.5) Experience with relational databases (preferably Oracle), including stored procedure, trigger and database design Experience with Classic ASP is a plus Experience with Microsoft Office Automation is a plus A quick learner with self-initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision Strong understanding of application development life cycle Strong team player with an ability to work well in a matrix team environment..
