Performs both teaching and management duties for management, general education, and other programs under the Dean of Management. Assists the Dean in the areas of course scheduling, textbook ordering, transcript evaluation, student advising, evaluation of Adjunct faculty, and other tasks as assigned. Coordinates with the Deans on scheduling day programs. Keeps up with necessary reporting and paperwork associated with these departmental programs and activities. Plans, organizes, and directs departmental activities with the objective of creating a positive, customer-oriented environment. Defines and enforces high-quality, academic standards and fosters an effective motivational environment to achieve positive educational results for all customers. Creates a positive, customer-oriented, learning environment; develops quality, applied educational products; facilitates higher learning in and out of the classroom; and participates in the assessment of student learning to improve educational outcomes. Manages day-to-day operations on behalf of the Dean, as required. Serves on campus and university-wide committees. Develops and maintains community relationships in support of the CTU mission. Job Functions Program Chair-level management position responsible for direction and coordination of academic programs within the department. Provides support to students through advising, transfer credit approval, and next level handling of student issues and complaints. Manages faculty loading, class scheduling and textbook ordering for Dean. Supervises adjunct faculty, and manages and performs adjunct faculty evaluations. Supports the Dean, DOE, and VPAA through curricular and assessment activities. Provides faculty support through orientation, training and mentoring. Supports the Dean in introduction of new educational products, marketing, course development, course maintenance, textbooks and faculty. Assists in the development of an adjunct faculty pool. Assists in the development and implementation of assessment activities, and monitors assessment of courses and programs. Participates in the budgeting process, and operates within budget constraints. .
