We are currently recruiting for a Sr. Project Manager to join our team in Kansas City, MO and are looking for an individual  with experience in the airline industry and with strong customer relationship and strong organizational skills.  This position will be customer facing and we need a Sr. PM who thrives in tough, fast-paced project situations.  A PMI certification is strongly desired and an individual with a good technical background or experience managing technical projects is required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide proactive project management oversight of advanced product Usage, Installation and Infrastructure in support of Ultra Electronics Airport System’s key product sets: Airline Information Mgmt Systems (AIMS), Baggage Reconciliation Systems (BRS) and CUSE (Ultra's version of CUTE - Common Use Terminal Equipment).     • Lead through specific procedures and pre-established processes for Incident, Problem and Change management to ensure projects are on track.
• Provide support and product knowledge to Incident and Specialist teams in support of customer problems.  
• Provide Implementation, Installation and Configuration expertise to the project delivery teams.  
• Work directly with our customers to advise on upgrades, installations and architectural related topics as they relate to our products.
• Provide pre-sales support for opportunities and / or to act as the Opportunity Manager for specific opportunities as defined within the company’s Opportunity Management Framework. • In addition to managing their own contracts and projects, the Sr. PM will be required to manage one or more Project Managers to provide leadership, line management and regular reviews of the projects or workstreams they are executing. • The Sr. PM will be required to manage projects of high complexity and risk, typically defined by the presence of one or more of the following:
o     The management of significant elements of subcontracted work.

o     The implementation of large distributed systems infrastructures.  

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Understanding of airline and airport IT systems, peripherals and software development lifecycles or other relevant experiences.
• Experience with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices covering Incident, Problem and Change Management or other relevant experiences. • Experience managing systems development & integration projects, ideally involving business-critical, realtime / online systems • A successful track-record in managing multiple, complex IT projects and programs using formal project management methods i.e. BPI, Six Sigma, Agile, Prince II, MSP etc. with full delivery and financial responsbility. • Proven experience of successfully building, leading and motivating project teams. • Proven experience managing and developing project managers and team leaders. • Extensive knowledge of Airline Information Mgmt Systems (AIMS), Baggage Reconciliation Systems (BRS) and Common Use products or other relevant experiences. • Must have the ability to obtain a passport and agree to travel domestically and internationally as required to support the job requirements (up to 75% travel). • Must be willing to be fingerprinted and have the ability to pass a background check to obtain security badges for various airport locations. ______________________________
