PRIMARY PURPOSE: 
Reporting directly to the Director of Service Excellence, Organizational and Personal Development, this position's primary responsibility is to manage and provide follow-up for Executive level complaints and serve as Primary Coordinator for general Patient Relations issues on the St. Luke's campus.  This position will also provide ongoing education and support and design programs and activities for service excellence initiatives at St. Lukes.    

 



Required Skills: Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resources, Health Care Administration, or related field.  College degree or equivalent experience preferred. 
 
Knowledge: Knowledge of healthcare administration, medical staff relations, customer service and patient satisfaction principles. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills.  Ability to solve problems assesses difficult situations and interacts respectfully with internal and external customers.  Special sensitivity and judgement required for patient/family interaction.  Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.  Ability to be a team player and work effectively under pressure with a wide range of people.  Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft systems, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
           
Experience: Prefer at least 3-5 years experience in community/donor/physician relations and must possess a strong background in customer service and a strong understanding of reward and recognition programs.
