Position Title: BUSINESS ANALYST – FX Applications Management

Key Skills: FX & MM – Application Support, Upgrades and projects - WSS

Location: Downtown Toronto – Financial Core

Type: Permanent $65k - $70k





The FX Applications Management Group oversees technology that facilitates trading, sales, middle and back office operations. Key responsibility is the overall management of the FX, and Money Market. Main focus is on daily application support, vendor management, system upgrades and delivery of related projects.



Responsibilities

Support the Global FX, and Interest Rate business

Develop effective and efficient solutions for all Front Office support requirements

Pro-active identification of any system related business issues along with a complete analysis for a prompt resolution

Relationship / Development management with the business - Front Office, Middle Office, Vendors and other Support groups

Define and document business requirements into detailed specifications

Obtain expert knowledge of the WSS configuration/set-up

Coordinate/Participate in the development of test scripts and test plans reporting on results ensuring quality and adherence to the business requirements

Maintaining/Documenting issues regularly within the Issue Tracking system

Obtaining dates and timelines on deliverables from business, Vendors and other Support group for prompt resolutions

Provide coaching, guidance to other team members

Pager support and weekend work.

Ownership of tier 3 projects and associated deliverables and timelines



Required Skills:

Good understanding of FX / Money Market / Interest Rate Derivative products from a deal entry, risk, P&L and accounting perspective

Existing Knowledge of FX Trading and/or Risk Management business flow

Knowledge of FX industry practices and business trends

Experience at writing business specifications, test scripts

Experienced with testing methodologies

Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Work effectively as a team as well as autonomously as required

Willingness to learn and to work project/support hours

Ability and flexibility to work under a variety of situations

Skilled with MS Excel and data querying (SQL)

Prior Sales/Trading experience would be an asset

Understanding of Wall Street Systems would be an asset
